Here are some photos from the big SELNEC 40 event on the Sunday. I was unable to attend on the Saturday.
I was not going to allow the rain to stop me having a good day.
The SELNEC Preservation Society held the event at the Sportcity ground, where the museum organised its usual event.
Most visiting vehicles were at Sportcity, including a large selection of preserved vehicles from the SELNEC Preservation Society.

There was many runs around the area in some of the preserved vehicles at the event.

There were many vehicles there, mainly cars and buses.

Lovely Day at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire.
This grounds at the front of Chatsworth house was surrounded with bus and coaches.
There was free bus services to surrounding areas, as well as a chance to have a travel down to the Golden Gate at the entrance of Chatsworth House.

An fantastic day at Chasewater Country Park, Brownhills. Plenty of buses on display, as well as many vehicles performing on runs to Lichfield and Hednesford.
The day also included a memorial run involving 3 ex-Chase Services Leyland Nationals to Walsall, and a memorial run to Walsall on ex-Walsall Daimler Fleetline 116 (XDH 516G)

 | 7th Jun 2009 | Alf Tunstall Rally - Churnet Valley Railway
Slightly wet, but a good turnout at Churnet Valley Railway.
17 buses attended this wet event. Luckily the rain did not turn any of the enthusiasts away as there was trip on Class 37 (37075) and DMU unit.

Excellent weather (as usual) and a good number of vehicles on display, as well as vehicles on runs around the Stoke-on-trent area.

The end of the year must be approaching as the Museum of Transport, Manchester have just helt their annual Christmas Cracker Event.
With many stalls inside, there was also alot to see. Cold outside, but lovely and warm inside.

 | 23rd Nov 2008 | Aston Manor Open Day
Open day at Aston Manor Transport Museum. This saw a number of preserved buses on display, including 1918 (G918 LHA) which is currently being restored into Midland Red North Livery, and a guest appearence from Metrobus, D957 NDA (WMPTE 2957) which stayed for a small time.
Not a bad day out, except when it rained!!
